UrbanFit, a boutique fitness studio targeting young professionals, was struggling with brand differentiation and stagnant engagement on Instagram. Their content was inconsistent and lacked a clear voice, failing to reflect the energy and professionalism of their in-studio experience. As a result, they were missing opportunities to build trust, attract new members, and retain existing clients.

I developed a streamlined content strategy focused on brand consistency and user engagement. This included:

Creating a branded post style for quotes, workout tips, and class promos.

Introducing weekly themes (e.g., Member Spotlight Mondays and Trainer Tips Thursdays) to build routine and anticipation.

Shooting new on-brand visuals to reflect their premium atmosphere.

Optimizing post timing and captions to align with user habits and trending fitness hashtags.

Research

I conducted a review of UrbanFit’s current metrics and compared competitor studios to find gaps in engagement strategies. Insights from polls and Q&As with current followers also guided the content refresh.

Incosistent tone

The voice across posts varied widely. Some were too corporate, others overly casual. This lack of tone cohesion caused trust issues and confusion among followers.

Design

The refreshed visuals used bold typography, deep blacks and vibrant orange tones to reflect strength and confidence. Grid planning ensured the feed alternated between testimonials, training content, and motivational messaging, creating a sleek, high-performance aesthetic.

Design deliverables included:

A full visual identity system (color palette, typography, grid structure)

12 branded content templates for stories, reels, and posts

Stock photography replacement with studio shots taken during a content day

Results

Within one month of launching the new strategy:

UrbanFit’s engagement rate grew by 41%, with post saves and shares nearly doubling.

Instagram Stories saw a 60% increase in interactions thanks to polls and sliders.

Follower growth increased by 28%, largely through content shares and reels reach.

The studio reported a 22% uptick in class bookings linked to promoted story highlights.
