Overview
Coastal Coffee had a beautiful interior and passionate team, but struggled with local awareness and foot traffic. Their Instagram felt inconsistent and failed to capture the cozy, beachside vibe customers loved in person.
We developed a warm and cohesive visual strategy to reflect their brand identity incorporating natural tones, behind-the-scenes moments, and community-focused content. We also built a content calendar focused on storytelling, seasonal promotions, and user-generated content.
Research
Short-form videos and local hashtags performed significantly better for coffee brands in similar markets. We identified the following:
Finding 1 – Inconsistent Engagement:
Posts lacked structure, resulting in irregular engagement spikes.
Finding 2 – Weak Visual Branding:
No unified aesthetic or brand colours made recognition difficult.
Finding 3 – Missed Local SEO Tags:
Few posts used geo-targeted hashtags, limiting local discovery.
Design
We introduced a brand kit with soft coastal colours, handwritten fonts, and photo treatments to bring out warm tones. Visual mockups included:
Product-focused flat lays with brand colour overlays.
Stories template for daily specials and barista intros.
Quote-based posts for engagement and community involvement.
Results
After 30 days of implementation:
Engagement rose by 42%
Story views more than doubled
Weekly walk-ins increased by 19%
The brand saw a 35% increase in user-tagged posts
Coastal Coffee is now a recognisable local staple online and off, with a social presence that matches its in-store charm.
